WOW! It sure has been a while since I blogged. It always seems like I just did it.
Well our summer has had it's share of ups and and downs.
We went back to Wisconsin to visit my family and friends. All in all it was a nice vacation, their were some snags, but we came back home safely.
The boy's enjoyed their time with their Bama and Papa, and they are quite smitten with my new sister-in-law Jessica, their "new" Auntie Jess.
Justin got into his first (let's hope last), four wheeling accident. He got banged up pretty bad, but got right back on it, with in a few days, and a week later, was purposely jumping hills with his four wheeler.
I myself, suffered a pretty nasty fall, where I slightly sprained my wrist, and I also got a finger infection, which, is a long story, an unnecessary long story.
I got my first ever 4.0 report card. WOO HOO, I got straight A's. This term, I am not doing as well, but still very well. I believe I have 2 A's so far, and a B.
I am enjoying school, but this term, is wicked hard. I have some wicked hard classes. UGH!
Work is going great, I love my job, I love the company I work for, and the poeple I work with are amazing. It is by far the best place I have ever worked far, thus far.
I am doing a Making Strides breast cancer walk on October 18th. I would appreciate if anyone would/could make a donation or walk with me!
I walk for hope, I walk to feel
I walk for the truth for all that is real
I walk for your mother, your sister, your wife
I walk for you and me my friend
I walk life
As a lot of you know, I am walking in the Breast Cancer Making Strides walk in Portland Maine on October 19th, 2008.
I ask that every one of you donate, and/or join me in this walk to benefit the reasearch of Breast Cancer. We need to find a cure, and advocate for more knowledge. Do you know that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer? 1 in 8!!!! I don't like those odds. I personally have been touched by breast cancer, and had a scare of my own last summer when a lump was found in my breast. One of my dear, and true friends, is fighting breast cancer right now. She has a long tough road ahead of her. . What scares me the most, is, how much I do not know about Breast Cancer. Please WALK WITH ME.... and let's find a cure for breast cancer!

And now... the much anticipated pictures of the boys from this summer.

Springtime Update
So some people know and some people don't, so I decided to fill everyone in at the same time. I found out completely by accident that the college I was attending was not a nationally accredited college, and from talking to various people including potential employers, if your school is not nationally accredited, your diploma or degree is pretty much worthless. So I withdrew from the college I was attending, and I am now attending Herzing College Online. They have physical campuses and online campuses. So while I am attending college online, I do have lectures, papers, weekly assignments, discussion board assignments which is suppose to replicate classroom discussions, and I have group projects. When I signed up I did not realize how time consuming it would be. I have had to reprioritize my days, and give up some things temporarily until things slow down, like going to the gym; I have less social time, etc. I have enjoyed every single second of this experience though, I am learning so much already, and my brother, has helped me already with writing my first paper.
I have also started applying for jobs at various medicinal facilities and have gone on a couple interviews. I am hoping to get a part time or full time job soon, to get my foot in the door at a medical facility. I realized after thinking about it just because in two years I will have a degree, does not guarantee me a job in the field of my choice, people want you to have some kind of medical background. So I have applied for jobs where I have a strong background, and experience, within medical facilities. So please pray I find something soon.
So for those who don't hear from me as often, I am trying my best to fit everything in. I am also helping my wonderful sister in law Jess out as an interim babysitter, until her summer babysitter can start. So it's been a touch on the chaotic side for me. THANK GOD for nap time.
So I have two courses this semester, and I think three next semester, I am taking summer classes, oh joy!
I have already met some wonderful classmates online, and I feel like I am already growing with what I am learning
On the up side I have not had to give up exercises completely, Robert walks with me a good three miles every night he has off. It does help, and it is a hilly walk, so we will both have buns of steel at the end of summer... LOL!
Some things I am excited about. One of my best friends is flying in from D.C. for my birthday. Missy and I with our husbands are doing dinner and going to see Sex and the City on my birthday, WOOT! The fabulous friends of mine are all spending the day together as a birthday celebration on the 31st, and less than a month after that I get to go home to see my BFF and family! I CAN NOT WAIT!
The boys are doing great. Enjoying the warm weather. Justin and Daddy have made their very own worm farm. Justin is learning how to ride his bike with out training wheels. Lucas is finally showing interest in potty training. They are both as sassy and entertaining as usual.
Here is a slideshow of some recent pics of the boys.

It's Been A While
Well it's February 2008, and this is my first official post of the new year. WOW, to say it has been crazy for the past few months is an understatement.
The boys are getting bigger and smarter by the day. Lucas can already wear 4t in pants for the most part, and has been wearing 4t in shirts for quite some time now.
Justin is finally starting to grow, some of his 4's are getting small and we are going to need to graduate to size 5 soon.
School has been going very good. STill holding a high 97 for an average. WOOT!
Our biggest change has been the fact that we have moved. We are FINALLY back on our own. While we are grateful for the help we recieved moving to Maine, we are beyond ecstatic about being on our own again. Its a cute little home, side by side duplex. We actually have quite a bit of room. The boys have a room they share, Robert has his own office/my closet and we have our own room, obviously. Living room, dining room, kitchen, full basement, and a shed. We also have a small deck off of the boy's room. HUGE yard for the boys to play in. I am close to my friends, we are smack dab in the middle of Lewiston/Auburn and Augusta. So I am in heaven with our location. I LOVE IT!
We are also going to be adopting a dog. OH JOY. Yes I finally caved and let Robert get a dog. We are going to be getting a Chesapeke Bay Retriever. We are on a waiting list and our new addition will hopefully be arriving in August sometime. That is Roberts birthday present, anniversary present, and Christmas present.
It's like the only thing he has ever repeatedly asked me for.
While I am announcing this, don't expect cute little pictures of our dog, blah blah blah. We all know how I feel about dogs. I will tolerate it, and that is about it.
I have been sick through out the month of January in to February. I have had bronchitis, a cold, ear infection, sinus infection, and yesterday I had the stomach flu. So let's pray that I am done being sick, because I am about as sick of being sick, as I am sick of all this dog gone snow! For crying out loud, it's like we are in Alaska or something.
I did get some pictures of the boys are their snow frolics this weekend. They had a blast playing in the snow.
I also started weight watchers the second week in January, I have lost 9lbs. as of last Monday. Considering I have not included exercise in to my routine yet, I think that is pretty good. I am anxious to see the results once I start exercising as well.
And... I think that about ends the catch up. I am included some new pictures of the boys, and our house.
I hope EVERYONE is doing well. For those we have not seen very often in the past few months, we do miss you.
Love,
The Bernards
